PRODUCT DESCRIPTION      
The root puncture resistant waterproofing membrane used for planting roofs is based on polyester fiber felt as the base material. A self-adhesive root puncture resistant waterproofing membrane is made by adding SBS/APP modified asphalt with imported chemical root blocking agent (or root blocking copper tire base) as the coating material, using polyethylene film, fine sand or mineral particles as the isolation material, and covering the lower surface with silicon isolation film as the anti sticking layer. Waterproof membrane with excellent root blocking performance, easy to construct. In addition to excellent waterproof performance, the product also contains special chemical root inhibitors in SBS/APP modified asphalt, which can effectively prevent plant roots from penetrating the waterproof layer, thereby ensuring the service life of the waterproof material.

PRODUCT FEATURES

▪ Hot melt method construction is convenient and the hot joints are reliable and durable.

MATTERS NEEDING ATTENTION

▪ Construction is not allowed on rainy, snowy, and windy days with winds above level five; The temperature in the construction environment should not be lower than 0 ℃.
▪ The distance between the nozzle of the flame heater and the surface of the coil should be moderate, and the heating within the width should be uniform, with the degree of melting the surface of the coil to a bright black color, and excessive heating of the coil should not be allowed.
▪ The construction site is equipped with complete protective facilities and fire-fighting equipment is placed according to regulations.

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY

▪ Grassroots treatment:
(1) The waterproof base must be cleaned, kept firm, dry, smooth (flat), etc.
(2) The uneven areas on the construction surface should be leveled or ground first, and the edges and corners should also be rounded (rolled) in advance.
(3) Apply base treatment agent evenly to all construction surfaces and let it dry.
▪ Additional waterproof layer for node details:
Add an additional layer of specialized roll material to the general details such as the internal and external corners on three sides, gutters, brackets, and deformation joints according to relevant specifications.
▪ Construction of ordinary waterproof layer: hot-melt construction.
▪ Construction of root blocking waterproof layer: Hot melt construction, using the same construction method as ordinary modified asphalt waterproof rolls.
